| Rapid Ring Slicer For Dried Apples |
 |
The Pease Rapid Ring Slicer, for the dried apple industry in the USA, has been revitalized. Production rate can be 72 to 88 bushels an hour depending on the size and condition of the apples. The contact surfaces, where possible, are now stainless steel. The Over-sized roller chain that carries the Paddles is driven by two large nickel bronze sprockets. A torque tamer is incorporated in the drive which provides mechanical protection against breakage due to sudden overload by slipping when a pre set torque limit is reached. The torque rating can be easily adjusted. This Rapid Slicer will give you years of trouble free service with modest preventative maintenance. |
| Pared and cored apples can be easily fed from a Conveyor into the Hopper on the top of the machine. The Hopper in turn feeds the apples into the Feeding Drum which regulates the flow of apples fed into the Rapid Slicer. The apple rings fall from the Slicer knives which are just over 2 feet (610mm.) above the floor. A Conveyor or Dip Tank can be placed under the cutting knives to collect the apple rings and transfer them to the next operation. It is an easy machine to feed; you feed directly into the inlet end of the Hopper that is just under 5 feet (1524mm) off the floor. To carry the apple rings away, install a Tank or Conveyor at 90 degrees to the long side of the Rapid Ring Slicer and directly under the cutting knives. After the apples are pared and cored on our parer, they come out with a flat spot on the stem end and another flat spot on the blossom end. They are then trimmed and placed on a conveyor from which they are discharged into the Rapid Ring Slicer where they are rolled until they come to rest upon one of the two flat spots. They are then pushed through the knives with paddles. |
| This equipment is designed for preliminary processing of apples for dried and canned apple products. The Pease Ring Slicer is currently used by large food industries and food processing plants, worldwide. |
