Hand-Operated Apple Segment Slicer
The Hand Operated Segment Slicer is a heavy duty industrial unit designed to give many years of excellent service. Production rate can be three to four bushels of apples per hour.
 Operation
The slicer knife head is a set of sharp blades arranged like the spokes of a wheel radiating out from the center of the apple. The operator slides a cored apple onto the guide post, then presses down on the slicer arm to push the apple through the slicer knife head, separating the apple into wedge shaped segments. Slicing knife holders are available with 4 to 20 knives in increments of 2. A second or third slicing knife holder can be purchased with a different number of knives for larger or smaller apples.
 Models
Deluxe and Standard models are available. The Deluxe model is made with a stainless steel frame, an aluminum bottom plate, stainless steel guard rail and a stainless steel handle. Stainless steel provides superior corrosion resistance and better long term appearance. The Standard model is made of steel coated, with a corrosion resistant paint. A spare parts kit is included with both models.
 Applications
This equipment is designed to work with our hand operated or power operated apple parer and coring machine and is used for preliminary processing of apples for use in pies and other pastries, apple butter, jelly, apple sauce, and for baked, fried, dried, frozen and canned apple products. It's for uniform ready to use wedge shaped slices.
