The unit is a parer & corer which removes the apple skin and core. The Hand Operated Apple Parer & Corer provides a tremendous advantage in production speed, efficiency, and ease of use over hand paring. Operators do not have to be skilled to reach adequate production levels in a very short training period. It is a rugged industrial type unit which is designed to give many years of excellent service. Production rates can be three to four bushels of apples per hour. |
| The parer/corer removes the skin and apple core. As the crank is turned 3 times a paring knife removes the skin as the apple revolves. At the same time, a coring knife enters the apple to remove the core. The apple is automatically removed after paring and coring. A 3/4" coring knife is generally used for 2 3/4" - 3" apples. If this does not remove all the seed cells, we have larger knives: 7/8" & 1". The Parer will be shipped with 3/4" knife unless ordered otherwise. The Hand Parer is portable and small enough to be used right on location such as restaurants, bakeries. pie shops, schools, fund raising events, charitable organizations, church groups, orchards, and roadside vendors. |
| Deluxe and Standard models are available. The Deluxe model uses stainless steel where possible. Stainless steel provides superior corrosion resistance and better long term appearance. The Standard model is made of steel coated with a corrosion resistant paint. A spare parts kit is included with both models. |
| This equipment is designed for preliminary processing of apples for use in pies and other pastries, apple butter, jelly, apple sauce, and for baked, fried, dried, frozen and canned apple products. |
